Around a dozen countries have slapped fresh travel rules on travellers from China

The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) and Miral are all set to host a luxury travel fair, CEE in the Middle East for the first time.

The event, scheduled to be held from Sept. 15 to 17 at Saadiyat Rotana Resort and Villas in Abu Dhabi and from Sept. 18 to 19 at Anantara Qasr Al Sarab in Al Dhafra, will be titled, "Loop Beyond Borders," WAM reported.

The travel fair aims to bring together top local hospitality brands, giving them a platform to showcase their products and connect with high-end buyers, travel partners, and agents from Central and Eastern Europe.

Over five days, each exhibitor will have 62 scheduled 15-minute meetings and many other chances to connect with over 100 top tour operators and agents from 16 Central and Eastern European countries. These countries include Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania and North Macedonia.

In the first five months of 2024, Abu Dhabi witnessed a big increase in hotel guests from Bulgaria (86%), Romania (47%), Poland (42%) and the Czech Republic (31%) compared to the same period in 2023.

Abdullah Yousuf, Director of International Operations at DCT Abu Dhabi, said, "We look forward to hosting the Middle East's first ever LOOP CEE event in Abu Dhabi and Al Dhafra, reinforcing the emirate's position as a premier destination for luxury travelers seeking the most refined of experiences."

Taghrid AlSaeed, Executive Director of Group Communications and Destination Marketing at Miral, also expressed his excitement to host the Middle East's first-ever Loop CEE event in Abu Dhabi, particularly on Saadiyat Island.

He praised the location for its pristine beaches, luxurious resorts, and growing cultural district. Furthermore, the executive director noted that the "destination's allure serves as the perfect backdrop, elevating the LOOP CEE event and ensuring an unforgettable experience where luxury intertwines seamlessly with cultural richness."
