Abu Dhabi's global tech hub Hub71 welcomed 21 new startups in Cohort 15, bringing the total number of its supported ventures to 243.

These startups will join Hub71's Access program and the specialist ecosystems of Hub71+ Digital Assets and Hub71+ ClimateTech following a tough selection criteria.

The startups in this group have collectively raised $134.9 million in funding, showing Hub71's success in attracting promising companies ready to drive tech innovation in Abu Dhabi's key industries, WAM reported.

By joining Hub71's "Access" and Hub71+ specialist ecosystems, these startups will be able to connect with a lively network of mentors, partners, and investors in Abu Dhabi.

They will gain access to market opportunities, top talent, and funding, which will help them secure deals, attract investment, and grow. Startups can also receive up to AED 250,000 in incentives and AED 250,000 in cash through a SAFE note. High-performing startups might even get an extra AED 250,000 for more equity after completing the program.

Ahmad Ali Alwan, CEO of Hub71, said, "Cohort 15 is abundant with pioneering startups that are positioned to contribute to Abu Dhabi's innovation ecosystem. By providing the startups with access to investment opportunities and market reach, Hub71 is supporting the founders' journey in Abu Dhabi and accelerating their transformative impact globally."

Cohort 15 was chosen from over 1,228 applications, with 17 startups from countries like the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. Among the new startups is EpiBone, a U.S.-based health tech company that has raised $43 million (AED 158 million).

Partanna Oasis, a company co-founded by NBA star Rick Fox, creates carbon-negative concrete and has raised $26 million (AED 98 million) to join Hub71's ClimateTech program. Furthermore, U.K.-based Greengage, offering Web3 FinTech solutions, has raised $10 million (AED 36 million) and will join Hub71's Digital Assets program.

By joining Hub71, these startups are setting up in Abu Dhabi, strengthening the city's reputation as a global tech hub and a top place for entrepreneurs.

More than half of Cohort 15 are Seed and Series A startups, showing that Hub71 is good at helping early-stage companies grow. These startups work in seven different areas, including FinTech, ClimateTech, HealthTech, EdTech, and Mobility & Logistics.
