The Dubai Press Club (DPC) hosted a networking dinner for some of the world's most popular social media influencers and content creators, who collectively have a following of over a billion people.

The event included discussions on the future of digital media, the responsibilities of content creators, and the media's impact on global conversations. Guests exchanged ideas and opinions while forming new connections, WAM reported.

The gathering also highlighted the important role that influencers play in shaping society. Officials from Dubai's Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) also attended the dinner. The influencers and content creators in attendance are renowned for their impact in diverse fields such as fashion, technology, education, and entertainment.

Notable attendees included Chiara Ferragni, Josh Richards, Dhruv Rathee, Hashem Al-Ghaili, Vladimir Shmondenko, and Younes Zarou, among many others.

Dubai Press Club's Acting Director Maryam Al Mulla emphasized the role that social media influencers and content creators play in the changing media landscape.

"Dubai continues to reinforce its position as a global hub for digital innovation and media excellence by bringing together the world's most influential content creators, who play a crucial role in shaping the future media landscape," Al Mulla said.

She further highlighted the key role influencers play in global conversations, using their vast social media reach to drive discussions. Al Mulla also noted that Dubai has long been a leader in these efforts, benefitting society as a whole.

Additionally, she shared that the Dubai Press Club (DPC) has built strong relationships with the growing community of digital creators and remains committed to expanding its network by engaging influencers who can bring about positive change.

The influencers and content creators expressed their gratitude to DPC for hosting the event. They commended Dubai's rising reputation as a hub for media creativity and innovation, acknowledging the many opportunities emerging within the evolving media industry.

Earlier this year, a talent management agency for content creators and influencers named XPOZED officially launched in the UAE, coinciding with the third edition of the 1 Billion Followers Summit, under the theme "Content for Good."

XPOZED's launch marks a key development in the UAE's content industry, aiming to support the growth of creators in the MENA region.
