UAE Introduces Specialized 180 Days Visit Visa For Business Owners, Entrepreneurs

International investors, entrepreneurs, skilled professionals, and business financiers can now apply for a specialized visit visa to explore business opportunities in the UAE, with a maximum stay of 180 days.
This visa, called the UAE's Business Opportunities visa, allows travelers to visit the country either once or multiple times, depending on their eligibility and approved requirements, Khaleej Times reported.
The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP) announced the initiative on Wednesday. However, the authority noted that four conditions must be met to apply for the visa.
- The applicant must be a qualified professional in the field they wish to explore in the UAE.
- They must hold a passport valid for at least six months.
- They must have health insurance coverage in the UAE.
- They must have a confirmed ticket for onward travel or departure from the country.
According to Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Director General of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security, the UAE has created a strong support system to attract entrepreneurs, investors, and business owners.
This system is aimed at helping them establish their ventures and launch innovative projects that contribute to the country's economic growth. Al Khaili highlighted the UAE's top-quality infrastructure, legal systems, and efficient logistics as key factors supporting business expansion.
He said that this new visa is a significant incentive for attracting investors, offering flexibility with options for single or multiple entries and validity periods of 60, 90, or 120 days, while ensuring that the total stay does not exceed 180 days.
Last week, the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment and the Federal Authority for ICP announced the launch of the first phase of the Blue Visa system in the UAE.
In the first phase, 20 experts and innovators in sustainability will be awarded the Blue Visa, a 10-year residency visa for individuals who have made noteworthy contributions to environmental protection and sustainability in the UAE and globally.
It is awarded to supporters of environmental efforts, including members of international organizations, companies, associations, NGOs, global award winners, activists, and researchers in the field.
