Autocraft introduced its groundbreaking EVTOL (Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing) air taxi concept, the E20⁺, at the Abu Dhabi Air Expo on Tuesday. The name E20⁺ represents more than just a model—it signals the start of a new era in urban air mobility.

Autocraft is a subsidiary of Kintsugi and a leader in advanced air mobility, and this launch marks a major step toward more efficient and innovative air transportation, aimed at improving mobility and connectivity across the UAE.

The "E" stands for Electric, highlighting the zero-emission technology that powers the future of clean air travel, and Elevate reflects Autocraft's goal to enhance time itself, not just transportation. The "20⁺" symbolizes infinite growth and endless possibilities, aligning with the UAE's vision to lead in innovation and technology.

Sean Teo, Managing Director of Kintsugi, said, "The Autocraft EVTOL represents more than just a vehicle; it embodies our commitment to redefining urban mobility with a focus on progress and efficiency," WAM reported.

"Unveiling this concept in Abu Dhabi, a city renowned for its visionary leadership, shows how the UAE is leading the charge in air mobility innovation. This is more than a new mode of transport—it's a movement towards a future where we elevate the way people travel—quietly, efficiently, and seamlessly," Teo added.

Tareq AlBannay, VP of Future Systems at Kintsugi, shared that the unveiling of the EVTOL is not just a technical achievement but also reflects the UAE's strong commitment to innovation.

He expressed pride in the fact that the Autocraft EVTOL will be designed and developed in the UAE, emphasizing the country's dedication to leading the way in creating a limitless future of mobility. This development aligns with the UAE's vision of progress and leadership in air mobility.

Earlier this year, Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) signed an agreement with the General Civil Aviation Authority, the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, and Joby Aviation and Skyports Infrastructure to launch an aerial taxi service by 2026.

With this agreement, Dubai will be the first city in the world to have a commercial city-wide electric aerial taxi service and vertiport network.
