She emphasized that the initiative reflects Dubai's commitment to shaping the future by providing a global platform for creators and innovators. It aims to inspire transformative technologies, support entrepreneurship, empower individuals, and harness talent for the benefit of humanity while contributing to sustainable development goals.

Latifa expressed pride in seeing young innovators from universities and institutions worldwide, across fields like academics, culture, technology, and creativity, using their knowledge to create solutions for humanity. She hoped to continue supporting their growth from Dubai.

The initiative received 2,700 applications from over 800 universities around the world. During the event, the top five exceptional innovators will be recognized and awarded a total of AED 360,000 to help them advance their research in important areas.

Taddeu Baldani Caravieri, Director of the "Prototypes for Humanity" initiative, said that while the program has grown a lot over the past 10 years, its main goal has always been to highlight and support the best ideas for a better future.

He expressed happiness about having so many innovators present and, with the help of their network of partners, looks forward to seeing them succeed in Dubai and beyond.

The initiative, in partnership with the Dubai Future Foundation, aims to create positive change by supporting innovative projects from university students and academics that tackle global challenges.

It brings together a diverse group of top academic talent and innovators, with elite professors and students from leading universities around the world presenting the top 100 projects offering practical solutions to important issues facing the planet and society.

The event is being held alongside the 2024 Dubai Future Forum at the Museum of the Future on 19 and 20 November, with over 2,500 experts and 100 international institutions focused on future foresight and design.
