The much-awaited fourth edition of the Dubai Metro Music Festival is set to take place from Sept. 21 to 27. The announcement was made by Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office (GDMO), in collaboration with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).

The seven-day event will transform five metro stations -- The Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, BurJuman, Union, and DMCC -- into vibrant hubs of music from various cultures around the world.

Throughout the festival, commuters can expect a unique experience as daily performances by 20 talented musicians from the UAE and beyond will take place within the metro. These artists will showcase a wide variety of instruments, genres, and styles, enriching the daily commutes of passengers.

Rashed Al Mulla, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications at RTA's Corporate Administrative Support Sector, said that RTA is excited to partner with Brand Dubai for the fourth Dubai Metro Music Festival.

The event, which aligns with the 15th anniversary of the Dubai Metro, stands out as a major highlight on the city's events calendar. Al Mulla emphasized that the festival reflects RTA's dedication to enhancing the satisfaction and happiness of both residents and visitors in Dubai.

Shaima Al Suwaidi, Director of Brand Dubai, said they are thrilled to organize the fourth Dubai Metro Music Festival, which has become a highly anticipated annual event in the city.

Al Suwaidi added that the event helps reinforce Dubai's reputation as a leading global center for innovation and culture and as one of the best places to live and visit.

"The festival reflects our commitment to providing unique and enriching experiences to the community together with the RTA. By integrating captivating musical performances into the daily commute, we are not only enhancing the travel experience but also connecting people through the universal language of music," he added, according to WAM.

This year's edition will feature a variety of exceptional performances, including some taking place inside the metro cabins. Highlights of the event will feature a nine-year-old prodigy playing the Qanun, a 14-year-old Emirati boy with autism performing on the piano, a unique showcase with instruments made from recycled materials, and a street artist presenting traditional heritage music.
