Mouza Mohammed Al Suwaidi has been appointed as Secretary-General of the UAE Gender Balance Council by the UAE Cabinet.

Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Gender Balance Council, said the new appointment reflects the leadership's commitment to supporting Emirati women and developing national talent.

Sheikha Manal, who is the wife of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, said Al Suwaidi's diverse experience in both the public and private sectors will bring new value to the council and build on its successes. Sheikha Manal also highlighted the UAE leadership's dedication to empowering women and promoting their roles as leaders and decision-makers.

The Gender Balance Council President also emphasized the importance of utilizing women's skills to boost the UAE's global competitiveness and drive innovation across various fields.

"The council's new structure will bring together talented Emiratis from diverse fields to drive gender balance efforts, boosting the UAE's position in international rankings," Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice President of the UAE Gender Balance Council, was quoted as saying by WAM.

"We are entering a transformative phase that will reinforce gender balance across sectors. Aligned with the UAE leadership's vision for development, this new phase will contribute to raising sustainable economic growth and social development," Al Marri added.

Al Suwaidi holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from Wayne State University in the U.S. and a Bachelor's degree in Applied Sciences from the Higher Colleges of Technology. She has over 20 years of experience in both the public and private sectors.

The new Secretary-General of the UAE Gender Balance Council reaffirmed her commitment to supporting the nation's vision of empowering women and contributing to national progress and global recognition.

Al Suwaidi said she is honored and will dedicate herself to fulfilling her responsibilities. She added that she is looking forward to working closely with the Council members to continue advancing gender balance.

She also thanked Sheikha Manal for her efforts in supporting women, promoting gender balance as a national culture and leading initiatives that contribute to the UAE's regional and global success.
