Ras Al Khaimah is all set to get InSky Robotics' first GCC facility called VIM Solar Robotics in Al Hamra. This move by InSky Robotics, an Australian technology company, aims to meet the growing demand for robotic solutions in the solar energy sector across the GCC region.

The new facility will focus on assembling, storing, and supplying VIM Solar Robotics' VOLTIMATE robotic cleaners, which are designed to be the best in the world for cleaning solar farms, WAM reported.

These robots work mechanically without the need for batteries or complex electronics, making them durable enough to handle harsh weather conditions. They have a lifespan of over 20 years, matching that of typical solar panels.

Furthermore, the robots are made from standard parts, making them easy to service and reducing maintenance and operational costs.

Announcing the establishment of VIM Solar Robotics in Ras Al Khaimah, VIM Solar Robotics CEO Aleksei Ermishin said, "Recognising the urgent demand for efficient and low-maintenance robotic cleaning solutions for solar farms in the GCC market, we are introducing VOLTIMATE, an innovative technology tailored specifically for the unique needs of the UAE."

"Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) has been instrumental in facilitating our UAE set-up, providing vital support that complements our high-tech operational needs," he added.

Ermishin said that RAKEZ's invaluable support made the company choose Ras Al Khaimah for company registration, noting that the economic zone helped to make the company registration process smooth and easy.

"They've also been fantastic in offering support and resources to help us further establish our presence in this dynamic market. RAKEZ's commitment to business growth and innovation has made Ras Al Khaimah the perfect spot for our GCC expansion," he added.

RAKEZ Group CEO Ramy Jallad expressed excitement about VIM Solar Robotics selecting Ras Al Khaimah for its first regional facility, highlighting the unique benefits Ras Al Khaimah offers to advanced tech firms.

Jallad noted that this investment reflects RAKEZ's growing role as a hub for technology and sustainable energy, aligning with its commitment to promoting industrial growth and innovation in the region.

Earlier this year, an international building materials supplier, Peikko Gulf, expanded its Ras Al Khaimah facility to increase its manufacturing capabilities by around 40% to cater to the growing market needs and work on larger projects in the region.
