Dubai Customs and Dubai Chambers teamed up to discuss ways to collaborate in order to achieve the goals of the Dubai's Economic Agenda, which is directed by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

The agenda aims to double Dubai's economy in the next decade and make it one of the world's top three economic cities. Dubai Customs welcomed Dubai Chambers' high-level delegation, which was led by Dubai Customs Director-General Dr. Abdulla Mohammed Busenad.

The delegation also included Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, and several other chamber officials, WAM reported.

Dubai Customs and Dubai Chambers talked about the priorities of Dubai Chambers, including making the Emirate a better place for businesses to grow, attracting global companies and investments, helping local businesses expand internationally, and boosting Dubai's digital economy.

They also discussed plans for the three chambers under Dubai Chambers: Dubai Chamber of Commerce, Dubai International Chamber, and Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy.

Both departments also discussed how they can work together to create new services, strengthen Dubai's position in regional and global trade, and improve Dubai's ranking for ease of doing business. These efforts aim to support the next generation of Dubai traders in key industries, helping them expand their businesses globally, aligning with Dubai's Economic Agenda.

Busenad expressed his satisfaction with the discussion with the Dubai Chambers delegation and emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts.

He noted that it will help the Dubai government boost foreign investment in economic activities, facilitate trade processes to increase Dubai's non-oil foreign trade value, and fully utilize the emirate's strategic position in global trade with its leading customs and logistics services.

Busenad further said that Dubai Customs is committed to working closely with partners, local entities, and business sectors to maintain Dubai's advanced position in global competitiveness indices.

Lootah, on the other hand, praised the successful partnership with Dubai Customs, noting that it is crucial for improving services to businesses. He praised Dubai Chambers' role in making Dubai more business-friendly and reinforcing its status as a global economic hub.

He also highlighted Dubai Chambers' dedication to achieving strategic goals that align with Dubai's economic plans and agenda.
