UAE Highlights Global Investment Leadership At AIM Congress 2025 In Abu Dhabi

UAE's Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, highlighted the country's strong position as a leading global investment hub during the AIM Congress 2025, held in Abu Dhabi from April 7 to 9.
At the 14th AIM Congress, Al Zeyoudi took part in key meetings and discussions focused on new investment opportunities and building partnerships with international players, WAM reported.
This year's event, themed "Mapping the Future of Global Investment," brought together over 900 global speakers and experts in more than 350 sessions. It provided a platform for world leaders, investors, and policymakers to talk about the future of the global economy and how to make it more balanced, sustainable, and prosperous.
"The UAE will continue to champion investment as an essential catalyst of development, where investment is geared towards expanding opportunities, unlocking potential, forging new industries, and driving prosperity," the minister said.
"Now the 16th largest source of foreign investment in the world, allocating US$22.3 billion to international projects in 2023 alone, impact investment is not the future for the UAE, but very much a policy of the present."
Al Zeyoudi emphasized the UAE's continued efforts to invest in key areas such as infrastructure, agriculture, energy, and education to support global development, boost innovation, and improve lives.
He pointed out that the UAE has a strong history of investing abroad, with over $50 billion directed toward renewable energy projects across six continents and around $7 billion invested in building food parks and cold supply chains in India.
The minister also took part in a Ministerial Roundtable focused on how international trade agreements can help create open and inclusive markets. He discussed how such partnerships support sustainable economic growth and help countries tackle global trade challenges together.
Al Zeyoudi highlighted the success of the UAE's Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements, noting that 27 deals have been signed, with eight already active, helping boost exports and attract investments in key sectors.
He also attended the launch of the third World Local Production Forum, co-hosted by the Emirates Drug Establishment and the WHO, and held bilateral talks with global officials, including leaders from Tatarstan and Shanghai, as well as ministers from various regions.
The AIM Congress 2025 showcased Abu Dhabi's role as a global investment hub and emphasized the UAE's commitment to innovation, international cooperation, and sustainable economic growth.
