The inaugural Abu Dhabi Business Week (ADBW) started on a strong note, drawing over 10,000 policymakers, officials, and international business leaders on its first day. The day included keynote speeches and panel discussions by leading business experts, offering valuable insights for companies across the Emirate.

The event featured activities like the Abu Dhabi Business Summit, Marketing Lab, Innovation XChange, and the Business Exhibition Ecosystem, which showcases local manufacturers, suppliers and top international companies. The exhibition will continue on the second day, WAM reported.

The event was organized by the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) and Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO).

Mo Gawdat, author and former Chief Business Officer at Google X, delivered a keynote speech titled "Artificial Intelligence & How You Can Save Our World" at the event, emphasizing the importance of AI (Artificial Intelligence) and its potential to shape the future, aligning with Abu Dhabi's focus on adopting cutting-edge innovations.

In a fireside chat called "The Arts, Sciences & Sacrifices of Winning," Formula 1 legend David Coulthard and Dutch football star Clarence Seedorf discussed the strategies and sacrifices that lead to success.

During a panel discussion titled "How to Take Your Company to the Moon," business leaders like co-founder of Careem Magnus Olsson and co-founder of Anghami Elie Habib shared their experiences of building billion-dollar companies.

Retail icon Jo Malone, founder of Jo Malone and Jo Loves, spoke about creating business empires in a fireside chat moderated by journalist and communications expert Louisa Preston. ADBW will continue to offer valuable sessions in the coming days, helping participants promote sustainable development and collaborate with key public and private sector leaders.

On the second day, the event will feature the Global Manufacturing and Industrialization Summit (GMIS), with discussions on topics like industrial safety, crisis management, and cybersecurity.

Furthermore, the Family Business Summit will include keynote speeches and panel talks on the important role of family-owned businesses in Abu Dhabi.

Shamis Ali Al Dhaheri, the Second Vice Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, will lead the session, with speakers from top organizations like J.P. Morgan, PwC, the Abu Dhabi Youth Council, and the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO).

The event was also attended by Minister of State for Foreign Trade Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, who gave a keynote speech about the importance of forming economic partnerships for prosperity.
