UAE PM Attends 10th Anniversary Of National And Reserve Service Law
UAE Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended the 10th anniversary of the National and Reserve Service Law ceremony, organized by the Ministry of Defence in the Al Sameeh area of Abu Dhabi.
The event focused on the values of loyalty, patriotism, and sacrifice, which continue to inspire Emiratis to help the nation's progress. These values are crucial in maintaining the achievements of the Union and ensuring the country's development, security, and stability, WAM reported.
As part of the 10th anniversary of the National and Reserve Service Law and the 53rd Eid Al Etihad celebrations, the UAE Prime Minister attended "Waqfat Walaa" (A Stand of Loyalty), the largest military parade in the country's history.
Thousands of National Service and Reserve Force members took part, showing pride and national unity.
During the event, Sheikh Mohammed praised the UAE's youth as a responsible generation that honors the nation's founders' legacy through loyalty, national values, and readiness to serve. He emphasized their role in driving growth, innovation, and strengthening defense capabilities.
He described the occasion as a reminder to stay committed to the vision of the Founding Fathers and work toward a brighter future. Sheikh Mohammed also witnessed the flag handover ceremony of the Khalifa bin Zayed Airborne Brigade, presented by Brigadier General Ahmed Ali Al Shehhi, the Brigade's Commander.
The creation of the airborne forces represents a major step in enhancing defense and strategic capabilities. This initiative supports the leadership's goal to improve the UAE Armed Forces' readiness to face evolving defense technologies and strategy challenges.
The event was attended by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, along with Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence of the UAE.
Also present were Crown Prince of Ajman Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Fujairah Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Umm Al Qaiwain Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla and Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi.
