Japan Kyoto Trade Exhibition 2025 will be held in Dubai to strengthen trade ties between the UAE and Japan, boosting economic growth and innovation in the region, according to an announcement by MAICO Enterprises Inc., a leading Japanese trade organization, Sunday.

The three-day exhibition will be held at DWTC Hall 4, starting on Feb. 10. It will feature a wide range of Japanese industries, including traditional crafts and advanced technologies, offering a platform for building strong connections and fostering economic development.

"Tomorrow marks the UAE's Eid Al Etihad, and we are honored to hold this press conference at such a meaningful time. This exhibition is the largest B2B platform in the region, presenting Japan's traditional and innovative industries to a dynamic market," said Toshimi Yamazaki, President and founder of Ringo Inc, and Executive Advisor of the Japan Trade Exhibition Organising Committee, according to WAM.

"It's a step forward in strengthening cultural and economic ties between our nations considering the recent announcement of the launch of talks towards a CEPA, which will foster new avenues for collaboration and support the sustainable economic growth of both nations," he added.

During the press conference, Japanese business leaders highlighted the importance of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) being discussed between Japan and the UAE. They emphasized its potential to boost trade between the two countries and support business growth in the UAE and the wider Middle East region.

The UAE and Japan announced the start of negotiations for the CEPA on Sept. 18. This agreement aims to create new partnership opportunities, promoting prosperity and sustainable economic growth for both nations.

Rina Fujihashi, a member of the Organising Committee, said that the first edition included 95 exhibitors and drew around 12,000 visitors. For the 2025 event, the goal is to host 150 exhibitors and attract up to 30,000 attendees, including business leaders and visitors interested in exploring Japan's heritage, innovations, and opportunities.

Mai Sakaue, the Executive Committee Chairperson of the Japan Trade Exhibition and CEO of MAICO Enterprises Inc., shared that while the 2024 edition focused on exhibitors from Kyoto, the 2025 event will feature participants from across Japan.

Sakaue said that the event will showcase various industries, including food, beauty, architecture, and space technology, highlighting Japan's industrial and cultural diversity while fostering business connections.
