Dubai Fashion Week (DFW) kicked off on Monday, marking the launch of its Spring/Summer 2025 edition.

DFW, co-founded by Dubai Design District (d3) and the Arab Fashion Council, is a week-long event that highlights the latest trends and exclusive launches, showcasing both well-known and new designers from around the world.

The first three days will feature haute couture collections, beginning with the designer duo to the stars Rizman Ruzaini on the opening day, followed by Spanish designer Adolfo Dominguez and local fashion icon Keepa, respectively, WAM reported.

French Egyptian designer Mariam Yeya will present Keepa's Spring/Summer 2025 collection, "Need Therapy," with a special short film, created with VOX Cinemas, which addresses everyday struggles and reminds viewers they are not alone.

During Dubai Fashion Week, the haute couture segment will feature high fashion and exclusive shopping experiences with top retailers. Later, more than 30 brands from countries, including France, India, Italy, Indonesia, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Malaysia, and the UAE will showcase their ready-to-wear collections.

The famous Italian fashion house Roberto Cavalli will wrap up Dubai Fashion Week on Sept. 6 with a special luxury collection made just for the event. The final day will include private appointments and a buyers' market, allowing industry professionals to network and work together in a more personal setting.

Dubai Fashion Week will also feature the first "La Moda Italiana: Dubai Edition," presented with the Italian Trade Agency. This three-day exhibition, from Sept. 1 to 3, will showcase fine Italian fashion, including clothing, footwear, leather goods, and eyewear from 25 top Italian brands.

Thread Talks 3.0, in its third edition, will bring together top fashion industry experts to discuss the future of fashion on Sept. 4. This panel discussion is a collaboration between Meta (the parent company of Facebook and Instagram) and Dubai Fashion Week. It will explore the challenges and opportunities in fashion with insights from leading thinkers and buyers.

DFW events offer great chances to network and connect with the fashion world. DFW goes beyond the runway with exclusive events for media and industry leaders. Highlights include private dinners, a buyers' lunch hosted by d3 (a design and creativity hub by TECOM Group PJSC), a special collection reveal and dinner by Bil Arabi, a private event by Swarovski, an industry roundtable hosted by Instagram, and a grand closing celebration by Kiko Milano at The One and Only.
