Emarat EV Charging Stations Company (UAEV), a joint venture between the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure and Etihad Water and Electricity, has partnered with AW Rostamani Group to improve electric vehicle charging services across the UAE.

The agreement was signed during the Electric Vehicle Innovation Summit (EVIS) 2025 and aligns with the UAE's goals for sustainable and advanced transportation. Key leaders from both UAEV and AWR Group attended the signing, showing strong support for the partnership.

"This partnership marks a significant milestone in our mission to make electric vehicle adoption easier, more rewarding, and truly accessible for everyone in the UAE," UAEV CEO Hicham Ezzahid was quoted as saying by WAM.

"Strategic collaborations like this enhance the ownership experience and accelerate the nation's transition to clean mobility. When infrastructure and innovation move in lockstep, adoption becomes a natural outcome," he added.

Sanaa Ouahmane, CEO of the Mobility Services division at AW Rostamani Group, emphasized that the partnership with UAEV is focused on more than just business — it aims to improve customer awareness, make EV charging more accessible, and promote sustainability.

She highlighted that the collaboration supports the UAE's goal of reaching net-zero emissions, addressing the need for a strong EV charging network across the country.

The agreement supports the UAE's Net Zero 2050 Strategy and Electric Vehicles Policy by making EV charging more accessible and promoting eco-friendly transportation. It aims to cut over 100,000 tons of CO₂ by 2030.

UAEV currently runs 122 charging ports, including ultra-fast options, and plans to expand to 300 by the end of 2025. It has the largest EV charging network in the Northern Emirates and is growing nationwide.

Its fast DC chargers are placed in key locations to help drivers travel without worrying about running out of charge. By teaming up, AWR Group and UAEV are tackling one of the main barriers to EV use — limited charging options — by offering dependable and easy-to-use charging stations.

This initiative is part of UAEV's larger plan to create a reliable, countrywide charging network that supports every stage of EV ownership — from buying the vehicle to using it daily.

A new charging credit program will also launch soon. Drivers of Zeekr and smart vehicles will be encouraged to use the UAEV app to activate their credits and access the national charging stations.
