The UAE has launched a new logo for the 28th Session of the Conference of the Parties (CoP28), reflecting the "One World" concept.

Led by the minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, the unveiling took place during the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week in Adnec on Monday, and was attended by CoP28 President-designate Dr. Sultan Al Jaber and other senior officials.

The new logo features a globular design in light and dark green colors, and encapsulates a wide range of imageries, including people, renewable energy technologies, wildlife, and nature.

It highlights the richness of humanity's natural and technological resources, and how the world should take advantage of these to drive inclusive and transformational growth across all sectors.

The image also reminds communities around the world to take active part in addressing climate change and employ sustainable means to thwart its negative effects. It underscores the inclusivity of the upcoming conference, sending a message that the event will be a "CoP for All," which involves nations from north to south, both the public and private sectors, the women and youth, and professionals from various industries.

The logo, which will be applied across all CoP28 UAE branding, highlights that the upcoming summit will be a "CoP of Action" that aims to hit its goals in the areas of mitigation, adaptation, finance, loss, and damage.

In a statement during the launch, Dr. Al Jaber called for the need for everyone to rally behind in changing the world for the better.

"We live in one world, a world where we need to collaborate and cooperate like never before to make the transformational progress needed to reach the Paris Agreement," he said. "CoP28 will be a CoP for Action and a CoP for All, bringing together the global north and south and leaving no one behind. CoP28 in the UAE will seek to find global consensus so that we can go further and faster and move from goals to getting it done."

The UAE will host CoP28 from Nov. 30 to Dec. 12. Earlier this month, the CoP28 UAE Presidency announced that they were working closely with the U.N. and the organizers of last year's CoP27 in finalizing the agenda for the upcoming conference.
