ADIPEC Breaks Record With Over 205,000 Attendees; Unites Global Leaders For Sustainable Progress
ADIPEC 2024 solidified its place as one of the world's leading and most commercially successful energy events. It attracted an impressive 205,139 participants from 172 countries, reflecting the UAE's strong role as a global center for energy, technology, and innovation.
Under the theme "Connecting Minds. Transforming Energy," this year's event marked 40 years of energy leadership. Attendance numbers showed a notable increase, with over 20,000 more people joining compared to last year, signaling a broader and more diverse international interest, WAM reported.
This year, the event drew a record number of attendees, including industry executives and international ministers, all gathered to promote sustainable socioeconomic progress globally.
The ADIPEC Conference program introduced four new conferences, bringing in fresh perspectives from technology and AI, finance, youth, and the Global South.
With 370 sessions, more than 1,800 international speakers, including 40 ministers, shared insights on economic opportunities that collaboration across sectors can unlock. This year's event was the most successful in ADIPEC's 40-year history, generating over $10 billion in cross-sector deals through various strategic partnerships.
Tayba Al Hashemi, Chair of ADIPEC 2024 and CEO of ADNOC Offshore, highlighted that the record-breaking 40th edition of ADIPEC brought together top leaders from various industries and regions. The event focused on creating valuable opportunities and innovative solutions to help build a more sustainable energy future.
"With a dedicated focus on the transformative potential of AI, ADIPEC has provided a global platform to unlock the economic opportunities that can be realized by collaborating across sectors," he said, adding, "We will build on this momentum as we look forward to an even more impactful ADIPEC in November 2025."
Christopher Hudson, President of dmg events, who organized the event, praised ADIPEC's unique ability to bring together countries, companies, and individuals to address top solutions and urgent issues in the energy industry.
He noted that businesses across the industry, from innovative start-ups to major national energy companies, view ADIPEC as a key platform for forming essential partnerships and having discussions that lead to meaningful results.
