ADNOC (Abu Dhabi National Oil Company) and AIQ introduced ENERGYai, a unique artificial intelligence (AI) solution designed specifically to support the global shift toward cleaner energy.

The launch was announced at the ADIPEC event on Monday. ENERGYai will be integrated with large language model technology with advanced "agentic" AI, where AI "agents" are trained to handle specific tasks within ADNOC's operations, WAM reported.

These specialized AI agents add a new level of independence and accuracy to important activities like seismic data analysis, boosting energy efficiency, and monitoring processes in real time.

Built to fit smoothly into current workflows, these agents use advanced machine learning and predictive tools to improve decision-making and make operations more efficient.

This innovation highlights ADNOC's commitment to leading sustainable, data-driven solutions that raise industry standards. Created by AIQ with support from G42 and Microsoft, ENERGYai will use top technologies like the open subsurface data universe (OSDU) framework and OpenAI models.

Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and ADNOC Managing Director and Group CEO, said, "ENERGYai marks a major milestone in ADNOC's journey to be the world's most AI-enabled energy company and a key enabler of the global energy transformation."

"It will be a powerhouse for value creation and sustainable energy production and will leverage petabytes of data to better empower our people and unlock innovative solutions across our value chain," he added.

As artificial intelligence drives faster progress and changes across industries, ENERGYai will help ADNOC stay prepared for the future. It will strengthen ADNOC's leadership in using AI and support its mission to deliver secure and sustainable energy worldwide.

Peng Xiao, Group CEO of G42, noted that ENERGYai reflects G42's commitment to transforming the global energy sector through AI by providing real-time, data-based insights and using agentic AI to improve efficiency, resilience, and sustainability.

"By combining ADNOC's industry leadership and petabytes of historical data with G42's advanced AI capabilities, and collaborating with Microsoft, we are creating a strong foundation for the future of energy—empowering leaders to make strategic choices that drive sustainable progress."

Microsoft's Corporate Vice President for Energy and Resources Darryl Willis said that AI technologies can optimize energy use, boost safety, reliability, and efficiency, reduce emissions, and speed up low- and no-carbon energy solutions across both traditional and renewable energy sectors.

Microsoft is excited to partner with ADNOC and AIQ to develop AI-powered solutions that promote economic growth, strengthen energy security and support a net-zero future for everyone, as per Willis.
