Dubai Drivers Can Now 'Park Now, Pay Later' With Parkin's New Mobile App

Parkin PJSC, the largest operator of paid public parking in Dubai, launched a new mobile app on Monday to make parking easier. The app includes features like a "park now, pay later" option and a real-time parking finder.
The Parkin app is available for download on both iOS and Android devices. It also allows users to pay parking fines, dispute charges, and request refunds.
"The app's clustering feature real-time parking finder, help users quickly locate available parking spaces, while its advanced search functionality enables users to easily find on-street and off-street parking options with live availability," the official statement mentioned, as per Khaleej Times.
Drivers can also book their parking spots before they arrive and add them to their calendars for easy access. Parkin noted that the "PayLater" option allows users to delay payments, while the automatic renewal feature ensures continuous service and hassle-free payment of parking fees.
Motorists can register on the Parkin app in three ways: by creating an account, using UAE Pass or an RTA account, or filling out the Parkin registration form. Once logged in, users can pay for public and private parking, including multi-story car parks.
The app integrates parking permits into device wallets, making it easy to manage parking-related information. It also includes features like wallet top-ups, vehicle management, and seasonal parking subscriptions.
Parkin's app eliminates the need for physical tickets or payment machines by offering an AutoPay feature. Using automatic number-plate recognition (ANPR) technology, it detects vehicles upon entry and exit, linking them to a registered payment method for automatic fee deduction.
This feature is available at Parkin-operated multi-story car parks and partner locations, including malls like Mall of the Emirates and Deira City Centre. Users can also check available amenities, reserve parking spaces, and extend tickets through the app.
Future updates will include EV charging payments and additional services like car washing, refueling, and vehicle maintenance at select locations.
Parkin CEO Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali said the app is "designed with our customers in mind, offering an intuitive and efficient solution that puts user convenience at the forefront."
He further said that the app simplifies the parking process and gives users more control over their experience. He also mentioned that this initiative helps improve urban mobility and supports Dubai's 2040 Urban Master Plan for a more sustainable and connected city.
Dubai's paid parking system started in 1995 under Dubai Municipality, later becoming part of the RTA in 2005. Parkin PJSC was established in December 2023 and listed on the Dubai Financial Market in March 2024. In the first nine months of 2024, Parkin handled around 95 million parking transactions.
