The Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH) officially inaugurated a new facility by Comlux, a leader in business aviation, transactions, and completion services.

The inauguration, which took place on Tuesday, was attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Airline, along with Executive Chairman of Dubai Aviation City Corporation Khalifa Al Zaffin, WAM reported.

MBRAH CEO Tahnoon Saif, Comlux chairman Richard Gaona, Comlux vice chairman Joseph Huber, and other senior officials also attended the inauguration.

"The opening of Comlux's state-of-the-art facility is an added-value to the services we provide at MBRAH and reflects our commitment to attracting leading global companies and drive innovation in the aviation industry," Saif said.

"At MBRAH, our mandate is to position Dubai as a global aviation leader, in line with the vision of our wise leadership. We are dedicated to supporting companies in establishing their presence and benefit from our integrated ecosystem," he added.

The new facility is located within the VIP Terminal's aircraft maintenance area at Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai South, covering over 20,000 square meters. It will serve as a hangar, service center, and regional headquarters for Comlux.

The facility includes a dedicated apron parking area, a fully air-conditioned hangar for indoor aircraft storage, offices, workshops, and storage rooms to support smooth operations, and aircraft cleaning and cabin detailing services.

During the launch, Gaona said that the new facility is a strategic step to support Comlux's clients in the region. He expressed gratitude to the Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH) for providing the opportunity to establish the service and maintenance center at DWC Airport.

Jean-Michel Champredonde, General Manager of Comlux Middle East & Africa, will oversee the daily operations. The company plans to continue working closely with Dubai South as it expands its presence in Dubai.

MBRAH, located in Dubai South, provides excellent connectivity for global aerospace companies and is a free-zone area for top airlines, private jet companies, MROs, and related industries.

MBRAH also hosts maintenance centers and training campuses. Its goal is to support the growth of engineering industries and help Dubai become a leading aviation hub.
