Emirates on Tuesday announced that it will start using its Airbus A350 on flights to Kuwait and Bahrain earlier than planned. These services will begin on Jan. 8, making them the second and third destinations to receive the airline's newest aircraft.

The update was shared in a press statement released by Emirates.

The Emirates Airbus A350 has a three-class design with 312 seats. It includes 32 lie-flat Business Class seats in a 1-2-1 layout, 21 Premium Economy seats in a 2-3-2 arrangement, and 259 Economy Class seats in a 3-3-3 setup, offering extra space and comfort in all cabins.

The A350 flying to Kuwait and Bahrain includes modern features like high ceilings, wider aisles, advanced technology, faster Wi-Fi, and an upgraded ice inflight entertainment system. This system provides a cinematic experience with a wide range of on-demand media and channels for passengers to enjoy.

Emirates will operate its Airbus A350 on specific flights to Kuwait and Bahrain.

For Kuwait, the A350 will serve flights EK853 and EK854. Flight EK853 departs Dubai at 1:25 am and lands in Kuwait at 2:15 am. The return flight, EK854, leaves Kuwait at 3:40 am and arrives in Dubai at 6:25 am.

For Bahrain, the A350 will operate on two of the three daily flights: EK837/838 and EK839/840. EK837 departs Dubai at 8:20 am and reaches Bahrain at 8:40 AM. The return flight, EK838, leaves Bahrain at 10:00 AM and lands in Dubai at 12:15 PM.

The second A350 flight, EK839, departs Dubai at 4:00 pm and arrives in Bahrain at 4:20 pm. Its return flight, EK840, departs Bahrain at 5:45 pm and reaches Dubai at 8:00 pm.

The airline has been serving Kuwait since 1989, and today operates 29 weekly flights. Emirates' A350 to Kuwait is the second aircraft type to feature the highly acclaimed Premium Economy cabin and newly configured Business Class seats, following the deployment of the retrofitted Boeing 777 in October 2024.

Emirates operates 22 weekly flights to Bahrain, which will now be served with a mix of Boeing 777 and Airbus A350 aircraft.

Last month, Nasdaq Dubai listed Emirates NBD Bank's $500 million Sustainability-Linked Loan Financing Bond (SLLB), the first ever issued under the new International Capital Market Association (ICMA) and Loan Market Association (LMA) guidelines.

The five-year bond, rated A2/A+ by Moody's and Fitch, has a fixed interest rate of 5.141% and will mature in 2029. It is part of Emirates NBD's $20 billion Euro Medium Term Note (EMTN) Program, highlighting the bank's focus on sustainability and innovation in the financial sector.
