IPS 2025 Opens With Global Experts Highlighting Real Estate Innovation, Sustainability

The first day of IPS 2025 started with high-level panel discussions and presentations that focused on the latest trends in the global real estate industry.
These sessions explored opportunities to integrate sustainability and modern technologies, as well as innovative solutions like fractional investment platforms, which allow people to invest in real estate without owning entire properties, WAM reported.
The event brought together real estate leaders and experts from around the world to discuss the challenges and opportunities in shaping the future of urban infrastructure. They also explored ways to create more flexible and inclusive investment models in response to a rapidly changing global market.
The event kicked off with a session called "A Roadmap for the Future of the Real Estate Sector and Urban Transformation in Dubai," featuring Majid Al Marri, CEO of the Real Estate Registration Sector at Dubai Land Department (DLD) and Chairman of the IPS Organizing Committee.
Al Marri shared that Dubai's real estate market is progressing well toward the goals of the Real Estate Sector Strategy 2033, which was launched in October 2024.
He highlighted the sector's strong growth in 2024, with transactions totaling AED 761 billion, a 36% increase from 2023. He also mentioned key initiatives by DLD, such as the Smart Rental Index, the REES initiative, and real estate coding, aimed at achieving the strategy's goals.
"IPS is a strategic platform that directly aligns with the objectives of the Dubai Real Estate Strategy 2033, through its effective contribution to creating an integrated investment environment that enhances transparency, supports innovation, and achieves a balance between supply and demand," Dawood Al Shezawi, President of IPS, said.
"We annually work to attract the most prominent local and international developers, government agencies, and investors from around the world. This year, the exhibition brings together more than 300 elite local and international real estate developers," he added.
Al Shezawi said that IPS plays a key role in achieving the goals of the 2033 Strategy by fostering direct communication among all parties in the real estate sector. It provides opportunities for discussion and knowledge exchange through events like the main conference, the Institutional Investors Conference, and the IPS Women Conference.
He expressed pride in IPS being an effective partner in implementing the strategy and emphasized the importance of the exhibition in driving real estate development and supporting sustainable growth in line with Dubai's 2033 vision and beyond.
