The UAE's Ministry of Interior and the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre (FCSC) has introduced a new model to prevent digital violence and protect women and girls from abuse.

The announcement was made during the UAE delegation's participation in the 69th session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women. This initiative highlights the UAE's strong commitment to supporting women's rights and promoting gender equality on a global scale.

The guide includes 35 legal frameworks focused on preventing domestic and digital violence, along with 46 awareness programs, policies, and initiatives. These efforts were developed in collaboration with 22 national institutions, WAM reported.

It also incorporates important international agreements that protect women's rights and strengthen safety measures. The UAE's model is recognized as a comprehensive global reference, providing a clear strategy for addressing digital violence while supporting long-term social and economic progress.

Hanan Mansour Ahli, Managing Director of the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre, said that the guide not only addresses current challenges faced by women and girls but also demonstrates the UAE's strong commitment to protecting their rights in society and the digital world.

It also helps strengthen the UAE's global position in gender equality. She emphasized that empowering women goes beyond creating laws—it also requires a safe and supportive environment that encourages their growth and ambitions.

She highlighted the UAE's broader efforts to ensure the well-being of all community members. The country's leadership in 30 global competitiveness indicators related to women's empowerment reflects its success in building a strong and effective model for gender equality.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Dana Humaid Al Marzouqi, Director General of the International Affairs Office at the Ministry of Interior, the UAE's leadership follows a vision based on tolerance, justice, and equality.

This approach has strengthened the country's position in global rankings and established it as a leader in protecting all members of society. The UAE has launched various initiatives to safeguard women and girls, especially in the digital space and with new technologies.

These efforts have helped create a safer online environment, giving women the confidence, knowledge, and tools to engage securely. By ensuring digital safety, women can actively contribute to society and help shape the future.
