ENOC Group has made massive progress in reducing energy use through its Energy & Resource Management (E&RM) efforts across all its operations. By focusing on sustainable economic growth, the group saved AED395 million in energy costs between 2014 and 2024.

These efforts also helped reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 703,840 metric tons.

As part of its ongoing commitment to protecting the environment, ENOC participated in Earth Hour 2025. On March 22, from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM, the company turned off non-essential lights at its headquarters, operational facilities, and service stations, joining millions worldwide in the initiative.

"Earth Hour is a powerful reminder of the urgency for collective action to ensure tangible results in combating environmental challenges," ENOC Group CEO Saif Humaid Al Falasi was quoted as saying by WAM.

"ENOC Group remains steadfast in its commitment to promoting sustainable development initiatives and raising awareness about optimizing energy consumption in the UAE and beyond," he added.

Last year, ENOC's business units achieved significant cost savings through energy efficiency initiatives. ENOC Processing Company (EPCL) led the way, saving AED 2,314,669 by implementing various energy and resource management measures.

The retail unit also played a major role by introducing projects like Solar PV LED Lights at Retail Operations Management & AutoPro sites, which resulted in total savings of AED 3,115,294.

Additionally, ENOC's Corporate Real Estate (CRE) and Emirates Gas played key roles, saving AED 539,448 and AED 139,409, respectively. ENOC remains deeply committed to sustainability, focusing on water conservation, renewable energy, and energy efficiency.

Its key initiatives include installing solar panels at various facilities, using LED lighting across operations, and implementing advanced water management solutions.

The group also follows high-quality green procurement standards to lower energy use and reduce emissions throughout its supply chain. These efforts support ENOC's overall sustainability strategy and highlight its proactive resource management and environmental protection approach.

Last week, the Department of Community Development - Abu Dhabi (DCD), with support from the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy, the Abu Dhabi Social Support Authority (SSA), and Ma'an announced upgrading appliances in the homes of 150 SSA beneficiaries to reduce electricity and water consumption.
