Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD) Group, the largest operator of integrated and purpose-built economic zones, has partnered with Emtelle, a leading global manufacturer of fiber-optic and microduct solutions from Scotland, to open the latter's $50 million innovation and manufacturing facility in KEZAD Area A (KEZAD Al Ma'mourah).

The facility, which is located in a strategic spot, will help Emtelle meet the rising demand for high-speed internet and telecom infrastructure both in the region and internationally.

This advanced, 48,000-square-metre facility is a major step forward for Emtelle's growth in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, and reinforces the company's dedication to delivering top-quality telecom infrastructure solutions to global markets.

CEO of Economic Cities and Free Zones at AD Ports Group Abdullah Al Hameli said, "Emtelle's new facility is a welcome addition to our thriving ecosystems for advanced manufacturing. It reinforces KEZAD's growing appeal as an international hub for business, and puts Abu Dhabi on the global industrial development map," WAM reported.

"It also highlights industry 4.0 initiatives in KEZAD, transforming manufacturing for enhanced productivity and efficiency. High-speed and efficient telecom infrastructure solutions are vital to address the evolving needs of a digitally connected world."

KEZAD expressed its support for Emtelle's continued success and affirmed its commitment to backing the company's growth, noting that the new facility is well-positioned to meet the growing demand for faster, more reliable, and scalable services,

CEO of Emtelle Group Tony Rodgers said that the new facility in Abu Dhabi was an important part of their long-term plan to boost capacity and efficiency in one of their fastest-growing markets.

By manufacturing at the KEZAD Hub, Emtelle is not only reducing delivery times, but also showing its commitment to meeting the needs of regional customers. The strategic location and strong logistics infrastructure of KEZAD have played a crucial role in making this possible.

Now that the new hub is up and running, Emtelle is well-equipped to provide its high-quality fiber-optic and microduct solutions throughout the MENA region, helping to enhance the telecommunications capabilities in the area.
