Sharjah Ruler Launches 3rd Phase Of 'Rhetorical Interpretation' Encyclopedia

Sharjah Ruler Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi officially launched the third phase of the "Rhetorical Interpretation" Encyclopedia and the Warsh Narration Encyclopedia on Tuesday, focusing on personalized reading methods.
The launch took place during the graduation ceremony for the 5th group of 329 reciters from the Sharjah Holy Quran Academy at University City Hall. As part of the event, the Ruler of Sharjah signed the first edition of the third phase of the Rhetorical Interpretation Encyclopedia, WAM reported.
This phase includes 22 volumes covering eight chapters of the Holy Quran. With this addition, the entire encyclopedia now has 47 volumes and more than 110,000 rhetorical titles.
Al Qasimi also signed the Warsh Encyclopedia, the second edition focusing on individualized reading methods. This edition includes 18 volumes and appendices featuring Qalun and Warsh narration tree diagrams, a visual summary of narration principles, a Mushaf illustrating the narration, and a separate Warsh Mushaf with Eastern diacritics.
Sharjah Holy Quran Academy Chairman Khalifa Musabah Al Tunaiji highlighted the academy's global mission to strengthen Sharjah's role in preserving and promoting Quranic knowledge.
"Since its inception, the Holy Quran Academy has made remarkable strides and continues to excel in achieving its goals through its new 2024-2026 strategy. This strategy reflects the Academy's vision of global leadership in preserving the Holy Quran and advancing knowledge of its heritage and studies," he said.
"It embodies the mission of strengthening Sharjah's role and international standing in serving the Holy Quran, its sciences, and its scholars. Additionally, the Academy utilizes modern technologies to enhance scientific research, develop Quranic recitation centers, and promote and preserve Quranic heritage," he added.
Al Tunaiji highlighted that the Sharjah Electronic Recitation Centre has reached 172 countries, adding that 1,518 students have earned Quranic licenses after passing the Sanad test, including both individual and combined readings.
Additionally, 91 licensed reciters from the Academy have started teaching, and 135 students have benefited from the academy's Sanad program. He added that by March 2025, the Sharjah International Electronic Recitation Centre had 938 registered students and 1,742 completed recitations, guided by expert reciters.
Al Tunaiji further emphasized the academy's dedication to Quranic research. He announced the successful completion of the third phase of the Rhetorical Interpretation Encyclopedia, consisting of 22 volumes covering eight Quranic parts. A total of 47 volumes have now been published, with contributions from 40 scholars.
