UAE Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum introduced a series of key projects for Dubai Police, totaling AED 2 billion to strengthen security, improve specialized police training and support the well-being of employees with housing initiatives that promote family stability.

During his visit to the Dubai Police Officers Club in Al Jaddaf, Sheikh Mohammed commended Dubai Police for its commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of Dubai's citizens, residents and visitors.

He emphasized Dubai's position as one of the world's safest cities, crediting it to Dubai Police's use of advanced technology and its dedication to security excellence, WAM reported.

Sheikh Mohammed was informed about the new Dubai Police Academy building in Al Ruwayyah 1, which will cover 155 hectares and accommodate 2,500 cadets and students.

The project is divided into four main areas. The first area includes residential facilities for 1,200 male and female cadet officers, complete with necessary accommodations, lounges, and a training field. The second area includes classrooms, offices for academic and administrative staff, college buildings, lecture halls, a health center, a music band building, and a theater with seating for 1,000 people.

The third area focuses on sports, featuring 17 facilities such as an indoor gym, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, a football field with seating, and outdoor courts for padel, tennis, and volleyball. It also has a residential hotel with 26 rooms for visiting sports teams.

The fourth area includes the academy's main field with seating for 2,500 spectators and a training complex for police operations. Furthermore, the project will have a 3.5-kilometer cycling and running track. With a budget of AED 1 billion, the project is scheduled for completion by 2027.

During his visit, the prime minister reviewed several new Dubai Police projects. The first was a training center at the Dubai Police Academy in Hatta, opening next year. He also reviewed "Area 56," a high-tech crime prevention center focused on data analysis and predictive policing, enhancing safety and counter-narcotics efforts with a budget of AED 300 million.

Moreover, Sheikh Mohammed learned about the Dubai Police Housing project in Umm Al Daman, in its second phase and is set to open in 2026. He also reviewed plans for a new building for the General Department of Organization Protective Security and Emergency in Al Ruwayyah, budgeted at AED 300 million and scheduled for 2026.
