Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone Announces Expansion Of Operations
Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone (SPC Free Zone) announced Thursday that its operations will be available round-the-clock to support its customers amid growing demand from entrepreneurs and investors.
This free zone will ensure that a bank account in the UAE is opened within three business days. This initiative makes it easier and quicker for businesses to get licenses by using state-of-the-art digital and electronic processes.
The announcement was made at a press conference held at the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) headquarters. Mansour Al Hassani, the Director of SPC Free Zone, officials, department heads, and media representatives were present.
Al Hassani noted that the initiative was first started in 2017 under the directives of Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. Since then, the free zone has been continuously evolving to cater to creative industries.
"The rapid success of the SPC Free Zone has solidified its position as a key contributor to economic diversification and growth, championing sustainability, and enhancing Sharjah's competitive position and appeal in the global business arena," he was quoted as saying by WAM.
"This achievement has led to the hosting of over 10,000 companies involved in a diverse range of over 2,000 commercial activities. Our commitment to continually upgrading and innovating the services at SPC Free Zone reflects our dedication to bolstering the business ecosystem in Sharjah and the UAE," he added.
The Director of SPC Free Zone went on to explain that this approach just doesn't meet the evolving needs of local and global business communities but also helps position the free zone at the forefront of economic service and community advancement.
SPC Free Zone provides a wide range of services like NOC (No Objection Certificate) certificates that allow companies to lease places beyond their confines within the UAE. Hence, it supports business expansion.
The zone also allows swift processing of UAE residency within five working days while offering licenses recognized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Municipalities.
With the help of recognized licenses by the Ministry, business owners don't require any third-party approval, which helps to reduce delays and make the process smooth.
Earlier this year, Dubai Airport Free Zone (DAFZ) participated in the 29th edition of Gulfood, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
