UAE FM Sheikh Abdullah Meets Saudi Counterpart Prince Faisal In Abu Dhabi

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, UAE's Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, held a meeting with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan in Abu Dhabi on Sunday to discuss the long historic relations between the two nations.
Minister of State Khalifa Al Marar was also in attendance during the meeting.
During the meeting, the leaders also discussed ways to enhance cooperation in different areas in light of the strategic partnership binding the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Sheikh Abdullah further highlighted the strong ties between the leadership of the two nations and their people, as well as issues related to joint Arab and the GCC.
The UAE minister described the relations between Abu Dhabi and Riyadh as "strategic, strong, and sustainable," and constantly developed for the benefit of their people. Sheikh Abdullah and Prince Faisal also discussed the efforts of the two countries to bolster fruitful ties with China. They further commended each other's efforts in ensuring security and stability in the region, particularly in the promotion of sustainable economic development.
Sheikh Abdullah congratulated Prince Faisal for the success of the 43rd session of the GCC Supreme Council, which took place in Riyadh on Dec. 9 and 10. The Supreme Council, attended by GCC leaders and heads of delegations, centered on relevant issues concerning the region and the world.
The UAE minister then lauded the Saudi minister for making the recent Riyadh Gulf-China Summit for Cooperation and Development a success. He also congratulated him on the outcome of the China-Arab States Summit, which wrapped with China and the Arab States agreeing to make all-out efforts to build a China-Arab community with a shared future in the new era. The meeting also tackled the instrumental roles of both regions in boosting strategic ties between China and other Gulf nations.
Before the summit, Chinese President Xi Jinping signed 34 investment agreements between Saudi Arabia and Chinese firms in various areas, including transportation, medical technology, construction, green hydrogen, logistics, housing, green energy, and cloud services.
Saudi Minister of Investment Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih said the deals reflect Riyadh's keenness on strengthening the partnership between China and the region in all economic and investment fields.
