National Ambulance Expands Fleet, Enhances 24/7 Emergency Services in UAE

National Ambulance operates 24/7, providing emergency services across the UAE through the 998 hotline. This ensures quick response times and improves the efficiency of ambulance services. On Oct. 4 last year, National Ambulance expanded its fleet by adding new ambulances equipped with the latest medical technology, following international standards.

The new fleet included four-wheel-drive first responder vehicles designed to handle severe weather conditions. These vehicles can reach flooded areas, ensuring uninterrupted emergency services during crises and strengthening the national ambulance system.

In the UAE, authorities have established an efficient system to provide urgent medical care during emergencies. These emergencies may be caused by natural health issues or unexpected incidents like accidents.

More initiatives to improve community preparedness for emergencies are planned for 2025. The Emirates Foundation is a government-backed organization in the UAE that focuses on promoting social development and empowering individuals and communities.

The UAE has a long history of providing humanitarian aid to countries in need, including disaster relief efforts. Earlier this week, the country swiftly deployed a search and rescue team to Myanmar in response to the directives of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The team, comprising members from Abu Dhabi Police, the National Guard, and the Joint Operations Command, is on a mission to assist those affected by the recent earthquake.
