The Emirates Foundation, through its Sanid Program, successfully completed the Sanid Civil Protection and Safety Initiative during Ramadan. This program aimed to improve community preparedness for emergencies and involved 341 volunteers from 22 nationalities.

Training sessions were held at community centers in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, and Ras Al Khaimah. Over six two-day sessions, volunteers completed a total of 2,046 training hours to strengthen their crisis response skills, as per the official statement.

The initiative focused on essential skills like first aid, home safety, firefighting, and disaster response. Certified experts from the Sanid Program, along with specialized volunteer trainers, conducted the sessions to ensure participants were well-prepared to handle emergencies.

Sanid Initiative Equips Volunteers with Essential Emergency Response Skills

The Sanid Civil Protection and Safety Initiative provided essential training to help participants handle emergencies and disasters effectively.

The first set of courses covered volunteer ethics, disaster preparedness, and leadership in crises. Volunteers learned about their role in emergency response, how to manage disasters safely, and how to lead and coordinate rescue efforts.

The second set of courses focused on practical skills, including basic first aid, safe injury transport, and firefighting. Participants received hands-on training in life-saving techniques, proper methods for moving injured individuals, and fire suppression strategies.
