UAE Hosts Consultative Meeting With GCC Nations In Abu Dhabi

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed hosted leaders from other GCC countries Wednesday to discuss ways to deepen their cooperation across various sectors.
The fraternal talks were attended by Oman leader Sultan Haitham, Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim, Bahrain's King Hamad, Jordan's King Abdullah II, and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah. Emirati leaders present during the consultative meeting include Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, and National Security Adviser Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed.
Held under the title "Prosperity and Stability in the Region," the meeting centered around reviewing close ties among the GCC nations and key areas of cooperation in the region to boost stability and prosperity. The leaders also discussed regional and international developments, along with the challenges faced by the region in the areas of politics, economics, and security.
The meeting further touched on the importance of coordinating positions and building a more stable future for the people of the Arab region by strengthening joint Arab action in dealing with regional issues. The leaders also tackled the longstanding ties among GCC members and the importance of effective communication, consultation, and coordination in bringing necessary change across the region.
The participants agreed that forging collaborations between GCC countries and other Arab nations is the best way to build a better future for the people and that communication is key to achieving development and prosperity.
In a Twitter post following the meeting, Sheikh Mohamed shared two snaps from the consultative meeting. "I was pleased to host my brothers, leaders of the GCC, Jordan, and Egypt, in their second home. We remain committed to strengthening and deepening our bonds of cooperation across all fields to achieve further development, prosperity and stability for our region," the caption wrote.
In a separate post, Presidential Diplomatic Adviser Dr. Anwar Gargash emphasized the importance of the meeting in strengthening the relations of GCC nations. "The stability and prosperity of the region and its readiness to face upcoming challenges and benefits depend on the cooperation and coordination of its countries," he wrote.
