Dubai's Roads And Transport Authority Upgrades Burjuman Metro Station With Co-Working Space
Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has collaborated with The Co-Spaces, a leading business incubator certified by the Dubai SME and provider of co-working solutions called WO-RK, to introduce a co-working space at Burjuman Metro Station.
This newly introduced co-working space is scheduled to launch in Q2 of 2024 on a trial base. This working space will offer an easily accessible, affordable, and inspiring workspace within the metro station.
RTA's Director of Commercial and Investment Mohammed Al Hammadi said, "RTA is proud to see one of its concepts has turned into a reality with the provision of coworking spaces within Burjuman Metro Station, WAM reported.
"Through this initiative, RTA seeks to achieve its strategic goals aligned with Dubai Urban Plan 2040 aiming to make Dubai the world's best city for living. This includes improving accessibility and fostering better integration," he added.
Al Hammadi noted that the RTA plans to expand co-working spaces to more locations along the metro network after the successful launch of the first one at Burjuman Metro Station.
He explained that these co-working spaces are flexible and innovative solutions in a modern environment, promoting a healthy work/life balance for all members.
Commenting on the collaboration, Shahzad Bhatti, founder of The Co-Spaces, said, "We are proud to collaborate with RTA on the inception of WO-RK, a revolutionary co-working concept. This partnership aligns with our commitment to providing innovative work solutions and fostering a dynamic work environment."
Bhatti shared that the company is looking forward to shaping the future of workspaces in collaboration with RTA by offering a unique blend of convenience, flexibility, and community engagement.
"WO-RK is not just a co-working space; it's a testament to our shared commitment to innovation, accessibility, and the holistic well-being of our community and we look forward to expanding this vision across Dubai's mobility hubs," he said.
Aside from providing physical workspace, WO-RK is also known for providing essential business support services such as obtaining mainland licenses, Ejari (online registration of property on lease), and business addresses.
Furthermore, it also helps in growth and development of businesses within its premises via mentorship and educational programs.
