Expo Centre Sharjah (ECS) revealed the schedule for the Middle East Electric Vehicle Show, which will take place from Oct. 15 to 18, next year, featuring over 150 exhibitors from 30 countries, including top manufacturers and suppliers in the electric vehicle industry.

Expo Centre Sharjah, with this event, highlights its commitment to supporting the UAE's efforts to become a leader in sustainable transport, lower carbon emissions, and work towards the UAE's Net Zero 2050 Strategy.

The announcement of the event was made during a meeting held by ECS with representatives from the participating companies and brands. Expo Centre CEO Sharjah Saif Mohammed Al Midfa and Chairman and CEO of MIE Events David Wang attended the meeting along with other officials.

The Middle East Electric Vehicle Show 2025 will serve as a key platform for EV manufacturers, experts, and technology enthusiasts to explore and showcase the latest trends and innovations in the field, WAM reported.

It will also provide opportunities to share insights, experiences and build strategic partnerships that will promote progress in the rapidly growing EV sector - both locally and internationally.

Al Midfa mentioned that the global electric vehicle market is expected to reach US$1.39 trillion by 2029, while the UAE's hybrid and electric vehicle market is predicted to grow to $5.19 billion by 2029, with an annual growth rate of 31.1% starting in 2024.

Wang, on his part, said that MIE Group chose Expo Sharjah as the host for the first edition of the Middle East Electric Vehicle Show due to the Center's strong reputation and successful history in organizing major regional and international events.

The key topics during the event included how UAE government initiatives are speeding up the shift to green and sustainable transport, the adoption of electric vehicles in commercial fleets, promising investment opportunities in the EV industry, and challenges and solutions in the EV supply chain.

The agenda also includes panel discussions, keynotes, and presentations on the current and future of electric-powered transportation.

The Middle East Electric Vehicle Show will feature over 10 sectors related to the EV industry. These include electric bicycles, hydrogen vehicles, electric transportation service providers, and manufacturers of EV charging infrastructure. Other sectors include energy suppliers, car dealerships, and specialists in fuel cell technology and management solutions.
