Sharjah Unveils Dynamic Agenda For Global Media Congress In Abu Dhabi
The Sharjah government media authorities have announced an exciting lineup of events, activities, debates, interactive sessions, and training workshops in connection with their participation in the third Global Media Congress, scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi from Nov. 26 to 28.
Media organizations, including the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB), Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, and Sharjah Media City (Shams), will host at least 21 interactive sessions, training workshops, and debates over the course of three days, WAM reported.
This participation of media entities aligns with Sharjah's unique profile and the keenness to showcase its vibrant media, cultural, knowledge and investment projects and institutions.
Shams Director Rashid Abdullah Al Obed highlighted the city's commitment to supporting media professionals and enthusiasts by showcasing its services and opportunities. Al Obed also shared updates on Shams Studios, a major project designed to become the region's leading hub for creativity.
At the Abu Dhabi Congress, the Sharjah Pavilion will feature a dialogue session titled "From Innovation to Application: Education in Sharjah is a Pioneering Global Model."
Speakers include Dr. Muhadditha Al Hashmi from the Sharjah Private Education Authority, Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi from the Sharjah Human Resources Department and Dr. Mohamed Safi Al Mosteghanemi from the Arabic Language Academy.
Media expert Dr. Abdul Salam Al Hammadi will moderate the session.
Another session titled "Scientific Journalism in the Arab Media" will feature Hussein Al Moosawi, Editor-in-Chief of National Geographic Al Arabiya, and Abdul Latif Al Sayegh, Chairman of Al Sayegh Media Company. The session will be moderated by media professional Mariam Fikri.
The Sharjah Pavilion will also host a session called "A Reading in the Book of Government Storytelling," presented by Prof. Dr. Mohammed Ayish from the American University of Sharjah and a member of the Academic Committee of the International Government Communication Forum.
Furthermore, the pavilion will highlight the Child Safety Department's achievement of winning the Sharjah Government Communication Award in the Best Communication Targeting Youth category.
Hanadi Al Yafei, the Director-General of the Child Safety Department, will discuss the department's efforts to promote child safety and community awareness. This will include an interactive "Transformation to Innovation" session presented by technology solutions expert Ahmed Kamal.
