Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has entered into a strategic partnership agreement with the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), a renowned global leader in electric power research and development.

This partnership will focus on collaboration in training and applying new technologies in renewable energy, grid improvements, energy storage, and more.

As part of the agreement, EPRI will offer training programs and courses for DEWA employees in areas like smart grids, energy efficiency, asset management, cybersecurity, sustainability in the energy sector, data analytics and renewable energy systems such as solar power integration, WAM reported.

The training programs are designed to strengthen DEWA's role in shaping a sustainable future.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, stated that they support Dubai's vision of becoming a global leader in clean energy and the green economy, while also enhancing the city's status as a knowledge-based economy.
