Abu Dhabi Mobility, Presight AI Sign MoU To Boost Transport Sector With AI Solutions

The Integrated Transport Centre (Abu Dhabi Mobility) of the Department of Municipalities and Transport signed an MoU with Presight AI Technologies during GITEX Global 2024 to improve Abu Dhabi's transportation technology.

The agreement focuses on supporting Abu Dhabi Mobility in research and development, as well as using AI in the transport sector. This includes making transport more efficient and safer with traffic management solutions, software for managing corporate fleets, infrastructure for electric vehicle charging, AI systems for commercial transport and safety solutions, WAM reported.

The deal also encourages sharing knowledge and developing skills in AI, with plans for scalable mobility projects. Under this partnership, Abu Dhabi Mobility continues to lead in advancing smart transport by focusing on research, development, and using AI technologies in mobility.

Abdulla Al Marzouqi, Director-General of the Integrated Transport Centre, emphasized Abu Dhabi Mobility's dedication to promoting innovation in transport and using modern technology to create a smarter, more sustainable future for the Emirate.

"These steps align with the aspirations of our wise leadership towards a vision that relies on advanced digital solutions to improve transport services and facilitate the daily lives of citizens and residents," Al Marzouqi said.

Abu Dhabi Mobility is responsible for evaluating AI solutions to make sure they match the emirate's strategic goals, strengthening its role in digital transformation in the transport sector.

By partnering with Presight AI Technologies, Abu Dhabi Mobility aims to improve knowledge sharing and skill development in AI for its members, while also finding pilot projects that show the potential of these solutions for the future.

The department will set up a team to oversee the implementation of the agreement. This team will ensure smooth coordination between all parties and provide reports to senior leadership. These reports will help identify the best areas for investment based on research and study results.
